Park College’s Zero G 2026 Annual Cultural Festival Launches “Faith” and “Power” Scholarships

The two-day inter-collegiate cultural festival “Zero G 2026” jointly organized by Park College of Engineering and Technology (PCET), Park College of Technology (PCT), and Tamil Nadu College of Engineering (TCE), operating under the Park Educational Group, was held with great fanfare at the Kaniyur campus.

Held on May 5 and 6, the festival saw hundreds of students from 22 colleges across Tamil Nadu participate and showcase their talents in over 30 technical and cultural competitions. The campus took on a festive atmosphere with artistic performances, classical music, and enthusiastic student participation.

On the first day of the festival, playback singer and composer Nivas K. Prasanna and actress and singer Madonna Sebastian participated and entertained the students with musical performances.
On the second day, Karumathampatti Deputy Superintendent of Police Dr. Karikal Pari Shankar and film actor Rio Raj were present as special guests. Students, professors and staff who excelled in academics, sports and various fields were felicitated.

He said that cultural festivals like “Zero G” are a great platform to showcase the talents of students. He further said that inspired by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of “an IT expert from every home”, he said that his dream is to “develop an entrepreneur from every home of Park alumni”.

The highlight of this year was the introduction of new educational assistance schemes, namely “Nambika Educational Scholarship” and “Shakti Educational Scholarship”.
“Nambika Educational Scholarship” is a scheme created to help orphans and students living in ashrams to pursue higher education. “Shakti Educational Scholarship” has been launched with the aim of supporting differently-abled students to get quality higher education with equal opportunities.

These scholarships are jointly provided by ZERO G Group and Park Education Group. Out of these, the Nambika Scholarship was awarded to M. Hariprasanth, a first-year student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and
the Shakti Scholarship was awarded to M. Madhehan Raj, a first-year student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

DSP Shankar also shared his investigative experiences with the students. Actor Rio Raj, recounting his journey in the film industry, advised the students to “try many fields without getting stuck in just one goal, find your true passion and follow it.”

The “Zero G 2026” festival concluded with a spirited conclusion with energetic cultural performances by the students.
