“From AI to IoT” – Students’ Amazing PSG Project Exhibition

With an aim to showcase the innovative potential and practical knowledge of students, a project exhibition titled “Students’ Project Expo – 2026” was successfully held at PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. K. Prakasan, Principal of PSG College of Technology, who participated as the chief guest.

He then emphasized that practical knowledge is essential in today’s education along with theoretical knowledge and advised students to develop innovation and thinking skills.
Dr. P. Giriraj, Principal of PSG Polytechnic College, who presided over the program, encouraged students to actively engage in research activities and contribute to technological development.

A total of 147 projects from multiple fields including mechanical, automobile, foundry, mechatronics, electrical, electronics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer engineering, networking, information technology, textile and apparel technology were showcased at the exhibition.

The projects created by the students focused on fields like automation, smart technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) etc. captivated the audience. The students clearly explained the process, application and future prospects of their projects.

The jury evaluated the projects on the basis of innovation, effectiveness, practical application and presentation skills. The exhibition attracted a large number of college professors, industry experts, students and school children. Live demonstrations and discussion sessions made the event more effective.

Dr. G. Chandramohan, Director of Selection, PSG Institutes, presented prizes and certificates to the best projects.
Overall, “Project Expo – 2026” was a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents, build confidence and learn about industry trends. The event has once again reaffirmed the importance the institution attaches to innovation and hands-on learning.
