Tirupati Temple to be built in Coimbatore: G Square Group hands over documents for 19.43 acres of land to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board

A major spiritual milestone for devotees in Tamil Nadu, the G Square Group officially handed over the documents for 19.43 acres of land to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam authorities on May 14 for the proposed new temple project at the ‘G Square Seven Hills City’ complex in Coimbatore.

This is a major milestone in the temple works to be built in this area. Recently, at the Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala, Sri P.R. Naidu chaired the DTT Board meeting, approval was given to acquire 19.43 acres of land worth Rs. 388 crore donated by the G Square Group for the construction of a new temple in Coimbatore.

Following this, the handover ceremony of the land donated by the G Square Group has taken place. Now that the land has been signed and handed over, the property has officially become the property of the Board. The planning and construction work for the temple is expected to begin soon.

The Tirupati temple is expected to emerge as the most important spiritual destination in western Tamil Nadu and to highlight Coimbatore as a growing spiritual and cultural hub. This is a huge spiritual and emotional message for lakhs of devotees from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Nilgiris and neighbouring districts.

Over the years, Coimbatore has continued to grow as a city that combines industrial growth with spirituality and well-being. Known for its renowned spiritual destinations like the Isha Yoga Center, Maruthamalai Murugan Temple, Perur Patteswarar Temple and Adiyogi, the city continues to attract devotees, tourists, spiritual seekers and international visitors throughout the year.

The proposed DTT temple is expected to further enhance the spiritual atmosphere of Coimbatore city and further strengthen its reputation as an important pilgrimage centre in South India.

With the land handover procedures for the proposed temple now complete, further announcements on the temple’s layout, design and construction plans are expected to be made in the coming months. This will position Coimbatore as a growing spiritual and cultural tourist destination internationally.
